On the morning of April 13, the 2025 Yangtze River Delta Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains Games·Lingshan Flower Field Run kicked off in Huizhou District, Huangshan City, marking the official start of this year's event.

This edition of the Yangtze River Delta Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains Games features six sub-events under two themed series—"Lucid Waters" and "Lush Mountains." The "Lucid Waters" series includes the Huizhou Ancient City Paddleboarding Competition and the Xin'an River Dragon Boat Race, while the "Lush Mountains" series consists of the Lingshan Flower Field Run, the Qiyu Dahong Ancient Trail Hiking Race, the World Heritage Ancient Village Orienteering Competition, and the Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Trail Climbing Race.

It is reported that the Yangtze River Delta Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains Games is a self-developed IP event jointly cultivated by the Sports Bureaus of Anhui, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, along with the Huangshan Municipal People's Government. The event aims to become a new benchmark for China's original outdoor sports competitions. Launched in 2022, the Games have been successfully held three times, attracting 30,000 participants in total. It has been recognized as a "Top Sports Tourism Event in the Yangtze River Delta Region" and one of "Anhui Province’s 'Top 10' Innovative Cases in Promoting High-Quality Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta."
