Hefei Metro Line 8 Phase I has entered the countdown phase for initial operations. Recently, three distinctive stations—Hefei No.6 High School Linghu Campus Station, Beicheng Shijicheng Station, and Yilijing Station—were officially revealed. Hefei No.6 High School Linghu Campus Station, located next to Hefei Sixth Middle School, features a staggered design that incorporates varying heights, complemented by lighting and material textures to enhance spatial depth. The station's interactive colors and sharp angles symbolize vibrant campus life, providing a fresh and dynamic travel experience for students and passengers. Beicheng Shijicheng Station draws inspiration from the vastness of the starry sky, with "galaxy" as its theme. The station's interior decoration prominently features "stars" as a design element, utilizing interwoven LED lights to create a dreamy space of light and shadow, depicting a brilliant interstellar scene. This design aligns with Hefei's technological and modern urban character, exuding a sense of innovation and futurism. Yilijing Station, serving as the starting point of Line 8 Phase I, employs a digital matrix and a combination of points, lines, and surfaces to create a stunning public space. The overall design is modern and minimalistic, fostering an atmosphere of contemporary industry, and highlighting the concept of smart transportation. Hefei Metro Line 8 Phase I is the first fully automated driving line in Anhui Province, with a total length of 22.5 kilometers, all underground, and includes 12 stations, with 2 transfer stations. The line begins at Yilijing Station and ends at Hefeibeicheng Railway Station, with a vehicle depot at the northern end. This line connects Changfeng County, Hefeibeicheng Railway Station, and Luyang District, linking to the existing operational Line 3 at Yilijing Station. Once operational, it will significantly enhance connectivity between Changfeng County and Hefei's central urban area, improving travel conditions for local residents and providing strong momentum for integrated development between the city and county.
