On October 30th, as part of the “An Open Future”, a media tour of Hainan for representatives of international media organizations and social media personalities, our reporter arrived at Wuzhishan, the heartland of Hainan province. The group visited the Wuzhishan area of the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park and the Maona village at the foot of the mountain, where they experienced the charm of the rainforest ecology and were captivated by the beauty of the Li ethnic village. Maona village is located in the southwest of Shuiman Township in Wuzhishan City, about 30 kilometers away from the urban area. It is a typical Li ethnic village with a total of 33 households and 128 people. The forested area covers 2,500 mu, while the cultivated land covers 180.34 mu, and the tea planting area covers 572 mu. The main source of income for the entire village is tea cultivation, with an average tea planting area per household of 17.3 mu. In recent years, Maona village has vigorously developed rural tourism and gradually explored a path of integrated development between tea culture and tourism.
