The "Regulations on the Popularization of Science and Technology in Hefei City" has recently been reviewed and approved by the Standing Committee of Anhui Provincial People's Congress, and will be officially implemented from July 1st. It is the first local regulation in Anhui Province on the popularization of science and technology.

Centered on crucial issues, the regulation is structured around the logical mainline of "who should carry out scientific popularization," "who it should be targeted at," and "how it should be carried out." It places emphasis on the organization and implementation of popularization activities, popularization resources, and guarantee measures. It also stresses the responsibilities of the government, requiring municipal and county governments, township and street offices, residents, and village committees to all carry out scientific popularization work. At the same time, it also highlights the role of the Association for Science and Technology in promoting scientific popularization, and requires all government departments, universities, research institutions, and enterprises to carry out popularization activities according to their responsibilities.

The regulation also pays attention to summarizing the experience of scientific popularization work in Hefei City regarding its content, and emphasizes the embodiment of Hefei's identity in institutional design.
