Recently, with the commencement of the first pipeline welding for the second natural gas pipeline project of the Sichuan to East Gas Transmission Project in Huaining, Anqing, it officially entered the full construction phase. This marks the start of a major energy artery that spans eight provinces and cities, pressing the "fast forward" button for construction in the Jianghuai region. It represents a "New Spring Achievement" for our province's effective investment expansion in 2025 and aims to achieve a stable and positive economic start in the first quarter.

The second natural gas pipeline for the Sichuan to East Gas Transmission Project is a significant energy infrastructure project under the national "14th Five-Year Plan," and it is also a key project for building a "one network" for natural gas in our province. The Anhui section will be 1,325 kilometers long, with an investment of 26 billion yuan, passing through ten cities, including Hefei, Wuhu, and Anqing. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027 and will introduce multiple gas sources from Sichuan, Chongqing, and coastal areas, adding 4 billion cubic meters of gas transmission capacity to our province upon reaching full production. It will work alongside the first line of the West-to-East Gas Transmission Project, the Sichuan to East Gas Transmission Project, and the Jiangsu-Anhui Pipeline to form an "energy ring" for oil and gas supply security. This will provide crucial support for increasing clean energy supply, strengthening energy security, and promoting low-carbon energy transition in our province.
