Recently, reporters found that this winter, an increasing number of Hefei residents are heading to ice rinks or purchasing skiing equipment, as the atmosphere for winter sports grows increasingly vibrant.

Even as the weather warms up, it cannot dampen the enthusiasm of citizens for winter sports. According to data from Meituan Travel, since December 2024, the search popularity for winter sports such as "skiing and ice skating" in Anhui has increased by 147% compared to the previous month. The top three cities with the highest search volumes are Anqing, Hefei, and Lu'an. Popular associated businesses include the "Dabie Mountain Ski Resort," "Tianzhu Mountain Ski Resort," and "Jinzhai Lotus Mountain Ski Resort."

Now, ice and snow tourism has entered a new phase of in-depth travel, with young consumers embracing the trend of pre-trip "ski training," leading to a surge in sales of "skiing equipment."

According to data from Meituan Travel, since December 2024, the search popularity for "ski training" in Hefei has increased by 92% month-on-month, while the search popularity for "skiing equipment" has surged by 408% month-on-month. Young consumers aged 25-30 have shown the highest search interest.
