On January 19, reporters learned from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce that in 2024, the total value of Hefei's import and export trade reached 379.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, which is 0.7 percentage points higher than the national average. Among these, exports amounted to 257.23 billion yuan, up by 10.6% year-on-year, outpacing the national growth by 3.5 percentage points.

In terms of foreign trade, in 2024, Hefei's exports of mechanical and electrical products reached 206.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, accounting for 80.3% of the total export value and becoming an important engine driving the growth of foreign trade. The combined export value of the "new trio" representing high technology, high added value, and leading green transformation—new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells—reached 34.84 billion yuan, ranking first in the province with a proportion of over seventy percent, and a year-on-year increase of 31.2%. Exports of electric vehicles amounted to 8.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.2 times, with the export volume exceeding 40,000 units, also a year-on-year increase of 3.2 times, indicating a continuous optimization of the foreign trade structure.

To enhance the vitality of market entities, Hefei city has issued the "Hefei Foreign Trade Assistance Series Theme Activity Plan." Throughout the year, Hefei has organized and held more than 30 training sessions, with over 2000 participating enterprises, helping enterprises go global, secure orders, expand markets, and promote cooperation. Data shows that in 2024, private enterprises achieved an import and export volume of 196.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%, accounting for 51.8% of the city's total and contributing 25% to the city's import and export growth.

As the pace of "going global" accelerates, the city's trading partners are becoming increasingly diverse. Since 2024, Hefei has been implementing the "Anhui Going Global" Action, guiding enterprises to actively explore emerging markets. In 2024, Hefei's import and export volume to the European Union was 67.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%.
