To promote the high-quality development of the northern Anhui region and align it with the Yangtze River Delta region, Anhui insists on revitalizing industries to lead the revitalization of the northern Anhui region. It advances the construction of key industrial clusters such as new energy vehicles and components, new energy, new materials, and green food in the northern part of the province.

Through continuous empowerment via multiple docking platforms, conferences such as the Financial Institutions' Trip to Northern Anhui for Bank-Enterprise Docking, project promotion meetings, and industrial forums are held. The construction of key industrial clusters in northern Anhui is included as an important part of the World Manufacturing Convention. Special activities for investing in Anhui in the northern region are carried out. Special training classes for the construction of key industrial clusters in the northern Anhui region are also organized. Following the growth path of "leading enterprises - industrial chain - industrial cluster - industrial ecosystem," a number of key industrial parks are selected, industrial planning is improved, and the coordination of land, finance, and other resources is ensured to attract flagship projects and specialized and innovative enterprises. In 2024, the key industrial clusters in the northern Anhui region attracted and landed 3,317 key industrial projects, with a total investment of 1.00475 trillion yuan.  

Gathering 14 specialized vehicle enterprises, 388 parts enterprises, and 492 aftermarket enterprises, the revenue of the entire automotive industry chain accounts for about 7% of the province's total. The new energy vehicle and parts industry in northern Anhui shows a trend of accelerated development, and the industrial cluster has begun to take shape.

To promote the construction of the new energy industry cluster in northern Anhui, the province strengthens top-level design and issues the "Action Plan for High-Quality Development of the New Energy Industry in Northern Anhui (2024-2027)", the "Construction Promotion Mechanism for the New Energy Industry Cluster in Northern Anhui", the "2024 Work Plan for the Construction of the New Energy Industry Cluster in Northern Anhui", and the "Comprehensive Evaluation Plan for the Construction of the New Energy Industry Cluster in Northern Anhui". These documents guide six cities and four counties to determine their development tracks in different segments based on their resource endowments and industrial foundations, and to build 12 key parks and characteristic parks.

The scale of the green food industry cluster in northern Anhui continues to expand. The province clearly focuses on developing five major industry clusters and 17 sub-industry fields, and the eight cities in northern Anhui have also identified their leading industries for development. In 2024, the entire industry chain output value of the five clusters in northern Anhui reached 300 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%. The province has newly approved 100 demonstration bases for the production, processing, and supply of green agricultural products in the Yangtze River Delta, bringing the total number to 452, of which 229 are located in the eight cities of northern Anhui; in addition, the northern Anhui region has added six regional public brands of "Beautiful Anhui Farm Products", 16 enterprise brands, and 90 product brands.
