At present, there are nearly 10,000 people who could weave wickers in Huanggang, including both intangible cultural heritage inheritors and skilled craftsmen.

In terms of technique, it has realized various techniques from ordinary fine weaving to flat weaving, vertical weaving, twisting weaving and flower arranging weaving. In terms of usage, it has expanded from traditional agricultural utensils to crafts of home life, holiday decoration, gardening petting etc,.
