As one of the regions with the strongest cultural industry strength, most vibrant innovation, and highest level of international openness in the country, the development of the cultural industry in the Yangtze River Delta has always drawn significant attention. At this year's Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo, the "Major Projects in the Cultural Tourism Industry for 2024" were announced. Among the 40 major projects presented, which have strong leading and demonstration effects in promoting the integration of culture and tourism, these projects cover 29 cities in the Yangtze River Delta with a total investment exceeding 120 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the cultural industry in the Yangtze River Delta leverages its advantages as a hub for the convergence of rivers and seas and as a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing its pioneering role in opening up to the outside world. In 2022, the total import and export value of cultural products in the Yangtze River Delta reached 47.123 billion USD, accounting for 26.1% of the national total. In the list of key national cultural export enterprises and projects for 2023-2024, the Yangtze River Delta has 110 enterprises and 26 projects selected, representing 30% and 22.6% of the national totals, respectively. Data shows that the scale of the cultural industry in the Yangtze River Delta continues to expand. In 2023, there were 23,955 cultural enterprises above designated size in the region, with operating income reaching 4438.4 billion yuan, accounting for 34.27% of the national total. The total added value of the cultural industry in the Yangtze River Delta grew from 1,220.05 billion yuan in 2018 to 1,629.004 billion yuan in 2022, with its share of the national cultural industry added value increasing from 29.63% to 30.29%. Notably, among the "Top 30 Cultural Enterprises in the Country" released for sixteen consecutive sessions, the total number of cultural enterprises from the Yangtze River Delta has exceeded one-third of the national total, demonstrating advantages in development quality and efficiency. At this year's expo, Anhui Province highlighted "Culture+" and "Internet+", showcasing new formats, technologies, scenarios, and consumption models in cultural technology integration, including generative artificial intelligence, digital creativity, data space, immersive experiences, and cultural equipment. This demonstrated the latest achievements of our province in promoting the cultural industry to "break barriers, shine brightly, innovate through reform, and yield results through projects." Empowered by digital technology, the cultural industries of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui display strong resilience and vitality. In terms of overall scale, leading enterprises, innovative achievements, new formats, and cultural trade, they rank among the top in the country.
