On November 8th, reporters learned from Hefei Customs that in the first ten months of this year, Anhui Province's total value of goods trade imports and exports reached 705.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Among them, exports were 472.61 billion yuan, up 10% year-on-year; imports were 233.27 billion yuan, up 0.8% year-on-year.

In terms of growth rate, in the first ten months, Anhui Province's imports and exports, as well as exports, were 1.6 and 3.3 percentage points higher than the national level, respectively. In terms of ranking, in the first ten months, Anhui Province's imports and exports, exports, and imports ranked 9th, 9th, and 13th nationwide, respectively, and ranked 1st, 1st, and 2nd in the central region. From the perspective of trade entities, private enterprises continued to maintain vitality. In the first ten months, private enterprises achieved an import and export volume of 356.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, accounting for 50.5% of the total import and export value.

Data shows that since the beginning of this year, Anhui's trade with the European Union, ASEAN, and the United States has grown. Specifically, in the first ten months, exports and imports to the top three trading partners—the European Union, ASEAN, and the United States—were 94.55 billion yuan, 80.66 billion yuan, and 79.52 billion yuan, respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 8.6%, 3.5%, and 6.9%. While consolidating traditional markets, emerging markets are taking an increasingly large share. In the first ten months, Anhui's exports and imports to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 352.49 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%, accounting for 49.9% of the total value of imports and exports; exports and imports to other member countries of the RCEP were 166.52 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%.

The export value of electromechanical products remains the "main part" of Anhui's foreign trade exports. In the first ten months of this year, Anhui Province exported electromechanical products worth 333.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%, accounting for 70.6% of the total export value. "The export performance of 'new trio' products is impressive. In the first ten months, the total export value reached 41.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%," said a relevant person in charge from Hefei Customs. Specifically, lithium-ion batteries were 12.98 billion yuan, up 10.6% year-on-year; electric vehicles were 11.97 billion yuan, up 269.6% year-on-year.
