After delivering 450 kilograms of pharmaceutical products via cold chain logistics at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia at 9:48 pm (21:48) local time on Sunday, China Eastern Air Holding has officially completed the delivery of its first batch of cancer treatment drugs with its brand new, self-developed temperature monitoring system, according to the Shanghai-based carrier. The cargo products which departed from the Shanghai Pudong International Airport were transported with the help of a temperature control monitoring system and logistics information system developed independently by the cold chain company of Eastern Air Logistics Co, the freight unit under the parent company China Eastern Air Holding. The systems make it possible for the drug company to monitor the products' temperature and location in real-time since leaving the pharmaceutical factory until getting delivered to customers, said China Eastern. It is also worth mentioning that the key equipment of the cold chain transportation, or the active aviation temperature control containers is researched and manufactured by a domestic company, while the cancer treatment drugs are also independently produced by Chinese companies.
