Newly released data shows that China's express delivery sector maintained strong growth in the first half of this year. The country handled 80.16 billion parcels, a year-on-year increase of 23.1 percent, indicating the industry's resilience and adaptability to changing market demands, according to the State Post Bureau of China on Monday.

During this period, cumulative revenue from express delivery services amounted to 653 billion yuan ($89.9 billion), reflecting a 15.1 percent year-on-year growth. This revenue increase underscores the industry's robust performance and its ability to capitalize on the growing demand for efficient logistics services.

In terms of service distribution, local express delivery accounted for 9.3 percent of the total volume, while intercity services dominated with an 88.7 percent share. International and cross-border express delivery services made up 2 percent of the total volume. These figures reflect the diverse range of services offered by the industry to cater to both domestic and international markets.
