On December 27th, at 9:16 am, the first G9236 train of the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway Huangshan-Nanchang Section within Anhui Province departed from Yixiandong Station, heading to Hangzhou with 554 passengers on board. This marked the completion and opening of the Huangshan to Nanchang section of the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway, enabling the full operation of the entire line. Qimen and Yixian in Anhui have entered the era of high-speed rail. Starting from Hefei, it takes less than two hours to reach Yixian and Qimen.

The Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway is another major high-speed rail corridor connecting Hangzhou and Nanchang, following the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway Hangzhou-Nanchang Section. It passes through numerous famous tourist attractions, creating a world-class golden tourism route.

"Huangshan is not only a mountain but also a city. It is full of scenic spots and cultural heritage," said Wu Xiaosheng, Director of the Huangshan Cultural and Tourism Bureau. The opening of Yixianbei and Qimendong high-speed railway stations has fully opened up the rural areas of Huangshan, revealing the immense treasures and development potential of Huangshan, and allowing more people to discover and experience the unique beauty, cuisine, accommodations, villages, folk customs, and intangible cultural heritage of Huizhou lifestyle.

Wu Xiaosheng further stated that to coordinate with the opening of the high-speed railway and further integrate into the Yangtze River Delta region, in the first quarter of next year, Huangshan City will implement the "three exemptions and two half-price" policy for 24 A-level fee-charging scenic spots (including Huangshan Mountain, Qiyun Mountain, Hongcun, Xidi, Chengkan, and Taiping Lake), providing an estimated direct subsidy of 100 million yuan to the market.

Since Huangshan entered the era of high-speed rail in 2015, the number of tourists coming to Huangshan by high-speed train has significantly increased. In 2015, there were 2.6 million visitors, and it is estimated to reach 4.5 million in 2023, driving the expansion of the tourism market along the railway line and effectively promoting the development of the cultural and tourism industry.

Furthermore, the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway Huangshan-Nanchang Section passes through numerous famous tourist attractions, connecting Hangzhou, Huangshan, Hongcun, Xidi, Jingdezhen, and Nanchang, forming a world-class golden tourism route. It is expected that within the next two years, the number of tourists coming to Huangshan, Qimen, and Yixian by high-speed train will exceed 6 million.

The Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway is an important connection of the national "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed rail network, linking famous tourist attractions such as West Lake in Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake, Huangshan, Poyang Lake, Jingdezhen, and Tengwang Pavilion. Along the line, there are 9 national 5A-level and more than 70 national 4A-level tourist attractions, forming a world-class golden tourism route that connects many famous cities, towns, lakes, and mountains in the three provinces of Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi. After the full operation of the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-speed Railway, it will further improve the regional road network structure, facilitate the travel of local residents, promote the development of tourism resources and industries, and play a significant role in supporting the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
